Country Boy At Heart
Originally from a small rural town right on Lake Erie where his grocery store was in the back of someone's house, and they still to this day don't have a traffic light.
City Boy Living
Mike moved to NYC to pursue his love for musical theatre.  He performed for over a decade on National Tours, Off Broadway and at some of the most prestigious Regional Theatres across the country.   He played roles such as Cosmo in Singing in the Rain, Bobby in A Chorus Line and Harry Beaton in Brigadoon, to name a few.
Me And My Shadow
Mike's Dad has always loved dance and theatre. In the 60's he was a banker by day and on the weekends had a vaudeville style night club act he would perform with in Erie, Buffalo and Cleveland.  Mike fell in love with performing in the second grade when his Dad taught him a little soft shoe routine to Me And My Shadow.  Matching top hats and canes were involved, and it was pretty darn adorable.
Mike's film and video productions, which he produces, directs and choreographs have been seen by millions around the globe.  He has directed and/or choreographed productions for MTV, ABC, SeaWorld, Bloomingdale’s, L’Oréal, Sabra Hummus, and for Shellac: New York Fashion Week.  Most recently his dance film “Public Displays” was selected and featured at the prestigious Lincoln Center Dance on Film Festival.  His work has also been featured numerous times on The Today Show and in The New York Times, The Huffington Post and Broadway World.
Mike is the founder and artistic director for Broadway Donation, a company which provides donation based classes and workshops geared towards the professional musical theatre performer.  Classes are taught by Broadway’s most exciting directors, choreographers and teachers including Tony Award winners Chris Gattelli and Andy Blankenbuehler. The company's goal is to provide theatre artists of any financial background the continued training that is required of them to succeed in this very demanding, competitive and expensive career.
The Theatre
A few of Mike's theatre director/choreography credits include Assistant Choreographer for Death Takes a Holiday (a new musical by Maury Yeston produced by Roundabout Theatre Company starring Rebecca Luker); Director/Choreographer for Oliver! at Festival 56, Choreographer for How To Succeed at New London Barn Playhouse, Choreographer for Annie Get Your Gun at MacHaydn Theatre, Choreographer for The Days of 98 Show for Gold Rush Productions and Choreographer for Broadway Under The Stars and Working for Transcendence Theatre Company.
